Check any Pakistani
vehicle registration.

Registration records are split across four separate government registers, and the biggest one is often down. Enter a number and VehicleCheckPK checks them all at once, free, and keeps working even when a portal is down.

Any format works, ABC-1234 or abc 1234.

Registration date (optional, helps Islamabad)

Just the year narrows it; the month narrows it more; the exact date is instant. It is printed on the registration card.

Coverage

Which regions are covered?

Vehicle registration in Pakistan is not held in one place. Each province and the capital territory keeps its own register, run by its own excise department. A plate issued in one will not appear in another, which is the reason a single lookup is worth having.

Questions

Common questions

How do I check a vehicle registration number in Pakistan?
Enter the registration number in the box above. VehicleCheckPK queries the official excise records for you and returns the vehicle details, including make, model, engine and chassis numbers, and the registered owner where the record includes it.
Does it cost anything?
No. The lookup is free and there is no account to create. The government portals are free too. What this adds is one box for every region, and an answer even when those portals are unavailable.
What happens if the government portal is down?
You still get an answer. We show the most recent details available, labelled with when they were last confirmed, and we name the portal that did not respond. We will never show a blank error, and we will never tell you a vehicle is unregistered just because we could not reach the register.
Which format should I type the number in?
Any of them. ABC-1234, abc 1234 and ABC1234 are all understood and treated as the same registration number.
Why might a number return no record?
Most often the vehicle is registered in a region we do not cover yet. It can also mean the register itself has no entry under that number: some older or recently transferred vehicles are missing from the online systems even though they are properly registered on paper.
Is this an official government service?
No. This is an independent service. The vehicle registers are maintained by the excise and taxation departments of each province and of the Islamabad Capital Territory, and those departments remain the authoritative source. For any legal purpose, confirm the record with the relevant excise office.
