Privacy

This describes what VehicleCheckPK actually does with data. It is short because the service does very little.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, so no names, emails or passwords.
• No CNIC or national ID numbers. We do not offer lookup by CNIC at all.
• No payment details, the service is free.
• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• No location. The petrol pump finder asks your browser for your location only when you press its button, then downloads the list of pumps and measures the distances on your device. Your location is never sent to us.

What we keep

To keep the service working when a government portal is down, a lookup result may be retained for continuity. It is not linked to you: we hold the registration number and what the register returned for it, not who searched.

A security log of each lookup: the registration number searched, the time, your IP address and browser user-agent, and the outcome. We use it only to detect and stop abuse of the service and to respond to a lawful request. It is kept for 90 days and then deleted, and it is never used for advertising or sold to anyone.

We sit behind Cloudflare, which may show a one-time verification screen to block automated traffic and which processes your IP address to do so, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Vehicle records and the people in them

Vehicle records held by excise departments may include the registered owner's name. Where a department returns that field, we display it, as the department's own public portal does.

We do not make those records searchable by owner name. You can look up a registration number; you cannot search for a person and get their vehicles. That is a deliberate design constraint, not an omission, see the data sources page.

Result pages are excluded from search engines, so a record you look up does not become an indexed page.

If you are the subject of a record

We cannot alter a government record, that has to be done with the excise department that holds it. If you believe a record should not be displayed here, write to hello@vehiclecheckpk.com and tell us which registration number and why, and we will review it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies to tell one visit from another. We do not use either for advertising.

Third parties

We query the government excise portals listed on the data sources page. Those departments operate independently of us and under their own terms. We do not sell, rent, or share lookup data with anyone.

Who is responsible for this data

VehicleCheckPK operates this service independently from Pakistan and decides what is collected and why. It is not a government department and holds no official status. Questions about anything on this page, or a request to review a record, go to hello@vehiclecheckpk.com.

Changes
