What the maximum price means

OGRA notifies the price as the maximum at all levels of the supply chain, for indigenous and imported LPG alike, and its notice says producers, marketing companies and distributors may sell below it. A new notice takes effect on the first of each month. The figure is per kg; an 11.8 kg cylinder is 11.8 times that.
