We cannot check a Sindh plate for you, and this page says plainly why rather than burying it. What follows is what the official lookup demands, what it will and will not tell you, and how to work it yourself.

How Sindh vehicle records work

Sindh runs its own vehicle registry through the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department. Its Online Vehicle Verification asks only for the vehicle category and the registration number, which is less than Punjab demands, and it searches cars and motorcycles separately, as Four Wheelers and Two Wheelers. It sits behind a Google reCAPTCHA, so we cannot run it for you, but it takes a minute to run yourself. Its result shows the tax, CPLC, safe custody and HPA status and the owner’s name, but not the registration date. The department notified a new registration series on 13 February 2026.

How to verify a vehicle on Excise Sindh

Excise Sindh's own lookup is its Online Vehicle Verification. It is free, it asks for nothing but the category and the plate, and it is the authoritative record.

Choose the vehicle category: Four Wheelers for a car, Two Wheelers for a motorcycle.
Enter the registration number exactly as it appears on the number plate.
Complete the security check and search.

Nothing found? Check the category first. Cars and motorcycles are searched separately, so a bike searched under Four Wheelers will not appear. Sindh also notified a new series on 13 February 2026: four letters and three digits for four-wheelers, three letters and four digits for motorcycles and three-wheelers. Type the number exactly as it is on the plate.

What the Sindh vehicle record shows

We cannot run the lookup for you, but we have run it ourselves: first by reading the page's own code on 4 October 2026, then as a real lookup on a Sindh car on 8 October 2026. This is what the result shows.

Record and compliance status, at a glance: Five tiles: tax payment (a date, with a PAID badge when the tax is paid), MTP insurance, CPLC, safe custody and HPA. On the record we checked, CPLC and safe custody read “Vehicle is Clear”, HPA read “HPA Clear” and MTP insurance read “N/A”.
Registration details: Ten fields: registration number, make, engine number, vehicle model, body type, owner name, model year, seating capacity, engine capacity and class of vehicle. The owner’s name is printed in full. There is no registration date and no chassis number.
Blank fields: A field the register holds nothing for is shown as a dash. On the car we checked, make, model, engine number, body type, model year, engine capacity and class were all dashes, so an empty field is a gap in the record, not a fact about the vehicle.
Tax and transfer dues: Three figures: transfer dues, penalty on annual tax, and total tax due.
Transfer fee details: A fee breakdown where the register has one. For the car we checked it read “Fee information is not available”. The page’s code also warns, for a company-owned vehicle, that late transfer charges are added from the Company Sell Letter date.
Pending transfer: A warning when a transfer is pending, with its biometric date. The page’s code lays it out; the record we checked had none.

So the official lookup is where to see unpaid tax, the CPLC and HPA status and, where the register has it, the transfer fee for one particular Sindh car or bike, before you buy it. It ends with a Calculate Tax link to the department's tax portal. What it will not give you is the registration date or the chassis number, so the registration book still matters.

Finding a Sindh vehicle's registration date

The registration date is printed on the registration book or smart card. That is where the 9771 fuel relief SMS instructions say to take it from, typed as eight digits with the province letter S.

Excise Sindh's lookup does not show it. We ran one on 8 October 2026: the result's registration details are the registration number, make, engine number, model, body type, owner name, model year, seating capacity, engine capacity and class of vehicle, and none of them is a date.

Sindh transfer fee and late-transfer penalty

Excise Sindh publishes the fee for a transfer of ownership and a per-day penalty for transferring late. We read both on its website on 8 October 2026.

Transfer fee: Rs 500 for a motorcycle or scooter and Rs 800 for a rickshaw. For a car or jeep: Rs 1,600 up to 800cc, Rs 2,000 to 1500cc, Rs 3,000 to 2000cc, Rs 5,000 to 3000cc and Rs 7,000 above that. Heavy transport vehicles pay Rs 4,000.
Late-transfer penalty: From Rs 200 a day for a car up to 1000cc, capped at Rs 30,000, rising to Rs 2,000 a day above 3000cc, capped at Rs 500,000. Motorcycles, scooters and rickshaws pay Rs 50 a day, capped at Rs 10,000, once the default passes fifteen days.

Is there an MTMIS for Sindh?

No. MTMIS is the name of Punjab's system, run by Punjab's Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department. Sindh's register belongs to Excise Sindh, and the department calls its lookup Online Vehicle Verification.

Sites calling themselves “MTMIS Sindh” are not the department. The official address is excise.gos.pk; check it before you type a plate, and certainly before you type a CNIC.

Can you check a Sindh vehicle by CNIC?

On Excise Sindh's own site, yes. Its Vehicle Verification by CNIC asks for the vehicle category and a 13-digit CNIC (dashes are optional), behind the same security check, and lists the vehicles registered against that CNIC in Sindh. The department says the result shows the vehicles' public details and never includes the CNIC or contact information.

It is most useful for your own name. After you sell a vehicle, a search on your own CNIC shows which vehicles the register still has against it.

We do not offer a search by CNIC and will not build one: this site looks up a vehicle, never a person. Several sites also describe an SMS service on 8147 for the same check. It does not appear on the department's own pages, so we cannot confirm it.

Karachi e-challans are a separate system

Traffic fines in Karachi are held by Sindh Police's TRACS, not by Excise Sindh, so a clean excise record says nothing about challans. TRACS's check-challan page asks for your CNIC, your registered mobile number and the vehicle registration number together, plus an “I'm not a robot” check. E-challan checks in every region.

How do I check a vehicle registration number in Sindh?

Not here. Use Excise Sindh at https://excise.gos.pk/online-services/vehicle-verification, run by Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Sindh. It is free. This page sets out what that lookup asks for, because it is more than the plate and most guides get it wrong.

What does four wheel verification mean on Excise Sindh?

It is the Four Wheelers category on the department's lookup: choose it for a car, jeep or any other vehicle on four wheels, and Two Wheelers for a motorcycle. The form offers only those two categories and searches them separately, so a bike searched under Four Wheelers will not appear.

What is the transfer fee for a car in Sindh?

Excise Sindh's published table: Rs 1,600 for a car up to 800cc, Rs 2,000 from 801cc to 1500cc, Rs 3,000 from 1501cc to 2000cc, Rs 5,000 from 2001cc to 3000cc and Rs 7,000 above that; Rs 500 for a motorcycle and Rs 800 for a rickshaw. Why can VehicleCheckPK not check Sindh plates?

Because the official lookup asks for more than we can supply on your behalf. Sindh gates its lookup behind a Google reCAPTCHA, which is designed to stop automated queries like ours. We would rather say so than return an empty result you might read as "no such vehicle".

Is VehicleCheckPK an official Sindh government service?

No. This is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Sindh. For any legal purpose, confirm the record with the excise office directly.

Can a plate lookup tell me whether a vehicle is stolen?

Not in a way you can rely on. Excise registers are tax and title records; theft sits with the police, in systems only officers can query. A clean excise record is not evidence a vehicle is not stolen. Excise Sindh’s lookup shows a CPLC status tile beside tax and HPA; on a lookup we ran on 8 October 2026 it read “Vehicle is Clear”. A clear tile is still not proof that the vehicle in front of you is the one on the record.

If the vehicle is registered in Islamabad

Islamabad is the one register we can answer. Its portal asks for the registration date as well as the number; we work the date out, so the plate on its own is enough. If your vehicle is registered anywhere else, this box will not find it, and an empty result here means we did not look, not that the vehicle does not exist.
